Our CCOZ workshops are free mental health and wellbeing workshops that are delivered by Relate practitioners to children and young people in schools and community venues.
Our workshops raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing support and include interactive discussions and activities, including topics such as, the early warning signs of anxiety, low mood, mindfulness coping strategies and resources.
The workshop begins with our practitioners providing psychoeducation on the areas of the brain involved in emotions and their role in experiences of anxiety, anger, and stress. Coping strategies are introduced, such as breathing exercises and grounding techniques, offering young people practical tools to manage their emotions. Young people engage in interactive activities and discussions designed to deepen their understanding of mental health and equip them with effective strategies for navigating emotional challenges. Additionally, we emphasise the importance of seeking support and highlight various support services available for young people who may need further support.
