Adult Individual counselling offers support for a range of emotional and mental health needs for anyone 18 or over.

Others seek individual counselling as they reach a milestone or transition point in their life, such as changing careers, retirement or becoming a parent.
Our counsellors offer a safe space to talk about anything you may be struggling with and work with you to make things more manageable.
You can expect to be helped by a supportive and non-judgemental counsellor, at our Relate centre and outposts, or via video and telephone. They will begin by undertaking an initial meeting, where you are able to discuss the reasons for counselling and your expectations, this is also a good time to ask any questions you may have. If Relate is a good fit, you will begin with ongoing sessions that are usually once per week for 45-50 minutes. The number of sessions can depend on the difficulties you wish to address, this can be discussed with your counsellor within your initial meeting.

We recognise that Relate may not always be the right fit. In these instances, our main priority is that you receive the best support possible, and we will work with you to find and access the support you need from another source.
